Community Alliance
Projects?
Cross-Space Community Alliance
Projects are collaborative initiatives
that bring together people,
organizations, and disciplines across
different "spaces" - such as
environmental, creative, social justice,
educational, and cultural sectors - to
work toward shared goals.
“Cross-Space” refers to the blending
of these different areas of expertise
and lived experiences. By crossing
traditional boundaries, we co-create
innovative, community-rooted
projects that promote sustainability,
equity, and creative engagement.
These projects are designed to be
scalable, inclusive, and action-
oriented — amplifying collective
efforts for lasting impact.
Nestbox Installation
at Dix Park
(Raleigh, NC)
We installed four nest boxes at
Dorothea Dix Park to provide safe
nesting sites for secondary cavity-
nesting birds such as Eastern
Bluebirds, Tufted Titmice, and more.
These boxes help support local
biodiversity by offering much-needed
habitat in a growing urban
environment.
Our team will maintain the boxes
over the next three years as part of a
long-term stewardship commitment.
Next time you visit the park, see if
you can spot all four, and maybe even
catch a glimpse of the birds who call
them home!
